So it's still a little early for Christmas, at least for me but I have decided that I better start getting ready little by little, before finals get in my way. I typically would wait until after Thanksgiving to do ANYTHING Christmas related, just because I'd rather enjoy the fall and Thanksgiving Holiday while it's here, not just push past it to get to Christmas (which will be here soon enough! But, as I said, with finals coming up I wanted to get a head start. Not only that we are actually going to be home for a good portion of December, when we usually leave for Hawaii the second week or so. However this year we are not leaving for Hawaii until December 23rd, which makes decorating the house and setting up a tree more worthwhile this year and not such a waste of time. I went to the Christmas expo with a few friends last weekend and they had a ton of cute stuff but it was way too crowded, not only that but it gets expensive. So, I've decided to make a lot of my own decoration. Not only is it usually cheaper, but also more fun cause a few years from now you can look back and say, "Remember when I made this or that?" So what did I make? Nothing too fancy, but just a little pine cone Christmas tree. I think it cost me all of $5.
Here is what you need (in case you are interested in making it) and here are a few pics! Feel free to share any of your favorite Christmas crafts! My next stop is wood connection to get some cute wood letters for Christmas sayings! Almost Merry Christmas everyone!

Hot glue gun
Glue sticks for gun
40-50 pine cones (depending on size you want)
Styrofoam cone
Berry sticks ( I don't know what they are really called so I have a picture)
Spray paint
Use hot glue gun to glue pine cones to Styrofoam, spray paint (any color you want, that's the fun part!) I also used a speckled white spray to make it look like snow is on mine. Once it's dry, snip berrys off with wire cutters and stick throughout tree. Vwah Lah! You have a pine cone Christmas tree that cost close to nothing and is fun to make!
